Write CRM notes for the next conversation
Record the buyer’s need, what changed, what you promised, and the next step—without turning CRM notes into a transcript.

Why this matters
Good CRM notes do not need to repeat an entire meeting. They need to help you—or a teammate—understand what matters when the next action is due.
A short, consistent structure works better than a long paragraph written from memory days later.
Capture the decision context
What problem is the buyer trying to solve? What did they say about priorities, timing, or evaluation? Record their words accurately enough that you can distinguish facts from your interpretation.
Capture what changed
Did they request a different scope? Introduce another decision-maker? Move their timeline? Put the new information where someone reviewing the deal will find it.
Capture commitments
Write down what your team owes, what the buyer said they would do, and the relevant dates. Then turn your own commitment into a task.
Leave out unnecessary information
Keep notes relevant to the sales relationship. Do not copy sensitive personal details into the CRM simply because they came up in conversation.
Clear notes make future follow-ups more relevant. They also give you a better basis for reviewing any AI-generated summary or draft.
RevenueRobotics uses deal context to help surface next actions and draft follow-ups, making the quality of the underlying record important.
