A sales pipeline hygiene checklist you can actually finish
Keep your sales pipeline useful with a short weekly review of next steps, close dates, stalled deals, and duplicate records.

Why this matters
A clean pipeline is not one with every possible field completed. It is one that accurately shows which opportunities are active and what happens next.
Use this checklist for a short weekly review.
Check active deals
Does each open deal represent a real opportunity?
Is its stage still accurate?
Is there an owner?
Is there a specific next action and date?
Check timing
Have any close dates passed without an update?
Are proposed close dates based on buyer information or wishful thinking?
Have deals remained in the same stage longer than expected?
Check the forecast
Which deals account for most of the expected revenue?
What could prevent those deals from closing?
Have you updated the forecast after important buyer conversations?
Check the data
Look for duplicate companies, incomplete contact details, and notes that belong to the wrong opportunity. Fix the records that affect current work first; you do not need to clean your entire database in one sitting.
End the review with a short action list. Pipeline hygiene is valuable when it changes what you do, not merely how tidy the board looks.
RevenueRobotics helps surface overdue work and at-risk deals so your review can start with the records most likely to need attention.
