Ten questions to ask in a sales pipeline review
Use these questions to find stuck deals, check forecast assumptions, and leave your pipeline review with clear actions.

Why this matters
A pipeline review works best when it tests what has changed—not when everyone reads their deals aloud.
Use these questions to move from a board full of opportunities to a short list of decisions.
Which deals moved forward since the last review?
What did the buyer do that shows progress?
Which deals have not changed, and why?
Which open deals have no clear next action?
Which commitments to buyers are overdue?
Which close dates are based on a buyer’s timeline?
Which close dates are simply our estimate?
Which opportunities account for most of the forecast?
What new information could change that forecast?
Who owns each action coming out of this review?
You do not need to discuss every deal in equal detail. Spend the most time on opportunities with an important decision, an unclear next step, or a material effect on the forecast.
Update the record while the discussion is fresh. A review that ends with decisions trapped in meeting notes will create the same uncertainty next week.
