How to test a CRM before your trial ends

Make a short CRM trial useful: import a realistic sample, work actual deals, test follow-ups, and inspect your forecast.

Why this matters

A CRM trial can disappear into setup. If you spend the whole time clicking through menus, you may reach the end without knowing whether the product helps your team sell.

Use real tasks to make the decision.

Bring in a representative sample

Import enough companies, people, and deals to resemble your actual work. Include a duplicate and an incomplete record so you can see how the import handles them.

Run a normal sales day

Find an overdue task, review a deal that has gone quiet, update a next action, and prepare a follow-up. Notice how much work it takes to get from the dashboard to a decision.

Check the numbers

Compare the open pipeline and forecast against what you know. If a figure surprises you, find out which deals and assumptions produced it.

Evaluate the team experience

If someone else will use the CRM, have them complete the same tasks without your guidance. A tool that only its initial administrator understands may be hard to maintain.

Decide against your requirements

At the end of the trial, ask whether the product helps with the problems that made you look for a CRM. Do not decide solely on its most impressive demonstration.

RevenueRobotics offers a 3-day free trial. Plan the sample import and the tasks you want to test before starting so you can make use of that short window.

That takes the series to 40 drafts. I’d now shift from producing more posts to enriching and publishing the strongest ones: add actual interface screenshots, verify product-specific claims, and make each article’s linked destination useful to a visitor considering a trial.
